Aura: A Mixed Media Portraiture Series
In the series “Aura”, I combined photography with other art media to convey how I perceive my friends and family. Incorporating mixed media techniques allows my works to transcend the audience’s subjective interpretations of photography and to better narrate my story. I spent 10 weeks experimenting with acrylic painting, dot painting, pour painting, watercolor, spin art, and collaging. I thoroughly enjoyed myself during the project and I realized that there are no barriers in art and it is for everyone.
